Hi, I’m Nichole

I’ve always had something to say. Ever since I was a wee thing, I’ve been “causing trouble”. Asking questions that I “shouldn’t” or ruffling feathers when a “nice girl” would have just been quiet and smiled. I suppose I’m not a nice girl then.

What I am is a writer of stories…a storyteller. A teller of truths. A guide for wanderers.

Even when I was young, I knew 3 things to be true…

  1. I’m here to speak the truth

  2. I must research and understand the workings of everything around me
    and the motivations behind everything.

  3. Everything you see is a version of the truth. Don’t trust anything
that doesn’t feel true in your gut.

I’ve stood by those truths, and they’ve gotten me through many situations.

Today, I’m a student of Matthew Wood; I’ve completed Rosemary Gladstar’s Art & Science of Herbalism Program; and I’ve committed myself to the path of herbalist.

I continue to learn and grow each day. Simple walks in nature have become foraging missions. Walks with my dog have become plant identification walks. I can’t wait to share all of the information I’ve learned with you.

My approach to herbal medicine is that of a vitalist. Nature is alive. It has been scientifically proven that plants communicate with one another. As such, they have medicinal properties that can assist in removing dis-ease from the body.

In a session with me, you can expect a thorough examination from top to bottom. Together we will explore your health through the lens of natural healing.

I would love to help you learn more about you and assist you in finding your way back to nature. We all must remember our connection to nature is the most important one we can know. Planting our bare feet in nature; There is nothing better. Let’s walk this path together.

My home life with my parents was rough as a child, but we won’t get into that. But my home life when I got to spend time with my Nana and Papa was bliss.

I spent most of my time outside in the garden. Papa and I used to plant crops every year and watch them grow until harvest. Planting and growing crops with my Papa is one of my fondest memories. To this day, we still get together after May 24th and do a garden together on my patio. Still saving for that farm…sigh…

My Papa always made sure I stayed interested in the natural world whether that be through reading through a bird book together each morning, or mining for ice crystals in the backyard in the winter.

My Nana has always been my best friend. My confidante. I remember when I lived with my Nana and Papa during grade school, Nana used to walk me to school every day.

We would look at nature, count Monarch butterflies, and sometimes we would pick flowers and take them home to make “perfume”. Our perfume was flowers that we left to sit in water for a few days until it was “ready”.

No matter what I’ve done, or where I’ve gone to, these things define my life. The way my Nana and Papa raised me with wonder for the natural world, it shaped who I am and why I was drawn to herbalism and holistic health in general.

To this day, my Nana and Papa are my biggest fans and supporters. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.

As I grew up, I found myself learning about holistic wellness in a variety of ways. I completed my reiki training and became a reiki master. I completed my yoga teacher training, as well as my Kundalini yoga teacher training. I read just about every book that I could get my hands on about every topic you can imagine.

I am still that same curious child who had to understand the motivation behind everything. I still find human behaviour to be one of the most fascinating topics.

I’ve studied many topics over the years, but the one that stuck was herbalism. It feels like it’s always been my purpose. I just didn’t know it the whole time. Every moment in my life has led me to be the exact person I need to be to help people the way I can.
