Raven Star Herbals began as a calling to the plants. They spoke to me and asked me to remember. Some of my fondest memories include building relationships with the land before I ever offered a single tincture to the world.
Every product I make carries the weight of that lineage. Nothing is rushed. I believe that when plants are treated with respect, love, and care, they offer their full medicine to us in return.

Nichole McFarlane grew up in a family that taught her at an early age what loving nature meant. From creating potions and perfumes with Nana after collecting ingredients on our walks, to being in love with gardening and spending time with her Papa learning all about planting, harvesting and loving your plant babies.
She trained formally at Matthew Wood’s Institute of Herbalism and has spent countless hours researching herbal medicines from all over the world.
She founded Ravenstar Herbals in 2019 from her kitchen table in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, making elderberry syrup and valerian tinctures for friends. Within a year, the community had grown into something she could no longer do alone — and so the collective began.
Nichole is the primary formulator for every product in the apothecary. She tests each blend herself before it ever reaches your hands.
